The 10-Point Privacy Contract
Our technical and legal commitments to every Nivara Browser user.
No Sale of Browsing Data
We will never sell, rent, monetize, or broker your browsing data or personal information under any circumstance.
No Behavioral Advertising
Nivara does not operate or participate in behavioral advertising networks, retargeting pixels, or ad-kickback whitelists.
No Mandatory Accounts
Nivara is fully functional immediately upon installation with zero mandatory account creation, email capture, or phone verification.
No User Profiling
We do not build behavioral profiles, browsing dossiers, category interests, or search query histories.
Privacy-Preserving Defaults
Total Cookie Protection, anti-fingerprinting, tracker blocking, and HTTPS-First are active out-of-the-box on first launch.
100% Open Source Code
All browser code, build scripts, backend APIs, and patchsets are publicly auditable under the Mozilla Public License 2.0.
Strict Data Minimization
We collect only coarse, pre-aggregated download numbers to measure global public interest impact.
Zero Persistent IP Logging
Raw IP addresses are transiently resolved in RAM and discarded immediately without being written to disk or database tables.
Public Security & CVE Process
Security advisories and vulnerability remediation timelines are published transparently with 24-hour turnaround on critical CVEs.
Transparent Infrastructure
All Foundation-operated network endpoints, data flows, and operators are publicly documented and inspectable in real-time.
1. Data We Never Collect
Nivara Browser contains zero client-side telemetry probes. We do not collect, store, transmit, or monetize:
- Your browsing history, visited domain names, or page titles.
- Your search queries entered into the address bar or search engines.
- Your IP address tied to browsing activity.
- Hardware identifiers, advertising IDs, or unique device serials.
- Personal profiles, demographic inferences, or category interests.
- Keystrokes, clipboard content, or form submissions.
2. Download Measurement & Geographic Reach
To measure our global Digital Public Infrastructure adoption, our web server processes incoming download requests through a transient in-memory aggregation pipeline:
navavritti.org, the server derives an approximate country code and metropolitan region in volatile RAM, executes an atomic increment query on nivara_download_aggregates, and immediately purges the request IP address. No raw IP addresses are permanently written to database tables.
3. Clear Distinction of Operational Boundaries
Browser Client Telemetry
Strictly 0 bytes. Upstream Mozilla/Chromium telemetry harnesses are completely compiled out.
Website Download Metrics
Anonymized dimensional aggregate counts only. K-anonymity threshold ($K \ge 10$) enforced.
4. Technically Defensible Claims
We refuse to use misleading marketing phrases such as *"100% untraceable"* or *"bulletproof anonymity"*. While Nivara provides industry-leading state partitioning, tracker blocking, and anti-fingerprinting noise, clearnet web browsing inherently communicates with destination servers. If you require complete network anonymity against state-level adversaries, we recommend using the Tor Browser onion routing network.
